Description

Focus Products Group, LLC, located in Vernon Hills, IL, is looking for a Creative Services Associate. This position would be responsible for Planning, directing, and controlling the overall efforts of creative services including but not limited to desktop publishing, digital production/print production and graphic arts for Focus Housewares Group and the other Focus entities as appropriate. This position would Design packaging, displays, advertisements and sales presentations. They would also facilitate photo direction and press approvals, lead and assist in program management of creative needs from development through production (often times via Far East manufacturers and third party suppliers), play a significant role in the design and development of company identity/logo and packaging strategy, assist with major trade shows, communicate with internal as well as external resources, and maintain advertising files and support marketing communication investments. Focus Products Group is a growth-oriented holding company serving the retail, hospitality, and foodservice markets.

Job Responsibilities:
- Directs creative design and graphics
- Design of packaging, displays, ads and sales presentations
- Photo direction
- Coordinate film separation
- Press approval
- Assist in Public Relations, Media and On-line initiatives
- Database creation and maintenance of product images and sell sheets
- Active houseware team member

Sales
- Execute creative and graphic art for Focus Products.
- Design and provide final art for packaging, catalogs, sell sheets, point-of-purchase displays, product graphics, brochures, press kits, advertisements & promotional projects and care & use instruction booklets for Focus Products.
- Provide and customize presentation materials for sales personnel as directed.
- Coordinate projects with photographers, film separators and printers.
- Create mock-up art for cartons, displays and product.
- Assist in the coordination and set-up of trade shows and all required signage.
- Maintain web-site appearance.
- E-commerce responsibilities including but not limited to email blasts, blogging research, etc.
- Manage cooperative image, identity, logos for Focus Products Group.

Product Design
- Participate as an internal team member which may include sales, engineering, manufacturing and legal representatives.
- Assist in the product approval process of new items.
- Obtain market research information when applicable.

Public Relations/Advertising
- Provide images for print, advertising, sales personnel, and web-sites.
- Assist with public relations, media and publications as a company representative.
- Purchase advertising space for media when applicable.

Specific Skills

- Bachelors degree in Graphic Art or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years experience in Creative Services
- Self-motivated team player
- Ability to manage process and timelines
- Familiarity of the housewares industry preferred
- Color and Trend awareness
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Pleasant, professional adaptable personality
